

The lighter nights are upon us, and we’re all thinking of a good old #Spring #clean, but what if your mind needs more attention? In the second of our #SpringWellness campaign blogs, Goldstar’s yoga guru 🧘♀️ Mhairi Thomson 🧘♀️has enlisted the help of some of her colleagues to answer one simple but powerful question: What are you most thankful for?


“It’s so lovely to live somewhere with seasons, but can we safely put our winter coats and fluffy jumpers away? We all want to lighten things up in Spring; wearing lighter clothes and shoes can make us feel better, and a Spring clean is always good for the soul! We can get rid of things we haven’t used for a while by dropping them off at a charity shop or going to the skip. Just look at the queues, and you can tell it’s on everyone’s agenda just now.


But is it also time to Spring clean your mind? Many of us tend to hold on to worries and negative stuff, but why not send them to the skip, too? The easiest way is to focus on the positives. Just get a piece of paper and write down five things that you are thankful for. They don’t have to be significant. Most gratitude will include family and friends, but it can also be simple things like a hot shower or your car! Once you’ve written them down, please read the list twice and throw it away. It’s for your eyes only, and you can rewrite your gratitude list anytime you need a boost.
