Clocks spring forward this weekend, and here at Goldstar, we are turning our hands to your health and well-being. To kick off our Spring Wellness campaign, our very own yoga guru, Mhairi Thomson, promotes the benefits of taking a few moments to stop and tune in to nature.
“When the clocks change, we lose an hour, which gives us an extra hour of daylight in the evenings. It’s a gift.
If you’ve enjoyed hibernation like me, it’s time to get out and about and start looking around. Nature is waking up, and so should we.
Try to find a few minutes in the mornings or evenings to walk outside in the fresh air without any distractions.
Stand tall, and think about your posture – shoulders back and chest out! When you’re standing tall, look around, look up and down. A few minutes of tuning in to yourself and using your senses – listening to the birds, feeling the air temperature, noticing the sky – can help you realise that you are part of something. This can make you feel better and connected.
Remember, if you’re out and about, don’t be afraid to stop for a minute or two; if you see something that gives you joy, take a breath, slow down and soak it up. Live in that moment.”
